π Fidyah (Ψ§ΩΩΨ―ΩΨ©) is an obligatory donation that must be made when a fast is missed through necessity (such as illness) that the person is unable to make up after Ramadhan. Your Fidyah donation must provide one (impoverished) person with two meals (one full day of food) for each fast that youβve missed.
π Kaffarah (ΩΩΨ§Ψ±Ψ©) is a payment that needs to be made when a person deliberately breaks a fast during the month of Ramadhan without a valid reason, when the person cannot fast for 60 continuous days to make up for that one broken fast.

Cost: 1 pence a litre. 14 litres per week needed for each family. 2 gallons of water will last for one day per family. Locals perform Tayammum for Salaah! 15 km trek to the city to wash their clothes. Locals only able to bath once every 10 days.

The purpose of Fitrana is to purify the fasting person from any indecent act or speech and to help the poor and needy celebrate Eid with the rest of the community.
