Australia hosted a high-level workshop on 20 February 2025 that explored growth strategies to diversify Cambodia’s economy and build a more resilient economic future. The workshop, supported by Australia’s flagship Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED), featured a special guest Professor Hausmann who is the founder and Director of Harvard’s Growth Lab with international expertise in the development of the Growth Diagnostics and Economic Complexity methodologies.
H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, and H.E. Derek Yip, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, presided over the workshop. Representatives from the Office of the Council of Ministers, government line ministries and development partners were also in attendance.
The workshop underscored Australia’s ongoing commitment to promoting strategic policy dialogue for a stronger, more prosperous Cambodia.

Australia supports national campaign to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025
With the support of the Australian Government, Cambodia’s Ministry of Women's Affairs of Cambodia kicked off its national campaign for the 114th International Women’s Day under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
The campaign featured three free public events in Phnom Penh, showcasing powerful performances by Epic Arts, Chhloh Theater, and leading women’s rights advocacy groups. The campaign also included a digital initiative and a special edition of Neary Rattanak magazine.

Australia supports national campaign to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025
With the support of the Australian Government, Cambodia’s Ministry of Women's Affairs of Cambodia kicked off its national campaign for the 114th International Women’s Day under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
The campaign featured three free public events in Phnom Penh, showcasing powerful performances by Epic Arts, Chhloh Theater, and leading women’s rights advocacy groups. The campaign also included a digital initiative and a special edition of Neary Rattanak magazine.

កម្ពុជា ជាប្រទេសមួយក្នុងចំណោមប្រទេសផលិតគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទីធំជាងគេលើពិភពលោក ប៉ុន្តែភាគច្រើនត្រូវបាននាំចេញជាវត្ថុធាតុដើមមិនទាន់បានកែច្នៃ។ ការលើកកម្ពស់ការកែច្នៃក្នុងស្រុក អាចបង្កើតតម្លៃបន្ថែមសម្រាប់កសិករ និងពង្រឹងឧស្សាហកម្មមួយនេះ។
អូស្ត្រាលី បានគាំទ្រកិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងនេះ តាមរយៈកម្មវិធី CAPRED ដោយបានគាំទ្រ ក្រុមហ៊ុនផលិតគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទីកម្ពុជាចំនួនបួន និងតំណាងរាជរដ្ឋាភិបាល ក្នុងការចូលរួមសន្និសីទគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទីពិភពលោកឆ្នាំ ២០២៥ នៅទីក្រុងឌូបៃ។ កម្មវិធីនេះ ជាឱកាសក្នុងការភ្ជាប់ទំនាក់ទំនងរវាងអ្នកផលិតគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទីជាមួយអ្នកវិនិយោគ អ្នកកែច្នៃគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទី និងអ្នកបញ្ជាទិញមកពីជុំវិញពិភពលោក។
ការគាំទ្រនេះ ត្រូវបានធ្វើឡើងដោយផ្អែកលើភាពជោគជ័យកាលពីឆ្នាំមុន នៅពេលដែលកម្មវិធី CAPRED បានគាំទ្រក្រុមហ៊ុនផលិតគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទីចំនួន ១០ ដើម្បីចូលរួមនៅក្នុងសន្និសីទគ្រាប់ស្វាយចន្ទីពិភពលោកឆ្នាំ ២០២៤ នៅក្នុងខេត្តសៀមរាប ដែលនាំឱ្យមានការបង្កើតកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងពាណិជ្ជកម្មអន្តរជាតិថ្មីៗ។

Australia supported this effort by sponsoring, through CAPRED, four Cambodian cashew companies and government representatives to attend the 2025 World Cashew Conference in Dubai. The event connected producers with global investors, processors, and buyers.
This built on last year’s success, when CAPRED supported 10 producers at the 2024 Siem Reap conference, leading to new international trade deals.
By strengthening market links and processing capacity, Australia is helping Cambodia compete on the world stage.
