Empowering Entrepreneurs with disabilities in Cambodia

Australia is supporting inclusive economic growth in Cambodia by expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs with disabilities to participate in and benefit from market-driven development.

With support from the Australian Government delivered by Mekong Inclusive Ventures (MIV) and CAPRED, disability led small and medium enterprises receive practical training, mentorship and tools to scale their businesses sustainably.

Our first story features Chha Sreyneang, owner of Neang Chnai, an online shop selling pickles, dried meat and clothes. Through the program, she strengthened her pitching, financial planning and digital marketing capabilities resulting in a 50-60 per cent increase in sales and the successful launch of a new tailoring business.

ប្រព័ន្ធដែលមានភាពធន់នឹងការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុនឹងនាំមកនូវទឹកស្អាតដែលមានសុវត្ថិភាពដល់ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋចំនួន ១០ ០០០ នាក់ សាលារៀនចំនួន ៤ និងមណ្ឌលសុខភាពចំនួន១ ដែលជួយជម្រុញកម្ពុជាឱ្យសម្រេចបានគោលដៅក្នុងការទទួលបានទឹកស្អាតជាសកលក្នុងឆ្នាំ ២០៣០។

ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី និងឯកអគ្គរដ្ឋទូត ក៏បានជួបប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ និងម្ចាស់អាជីវកម្មខ្នាតតូច ដែលទទួលបានអត្ថប្រយោជន៍ពីការទទួលបានទឹកស្អាតប្រើប្រាស់នេះផងដែរ។

Australia–Cambodia partnership expands clean water access

Australia’s support has helped over 1.2 million rural Cambodians access clean piped water. Today, we reached another milestone with the launch of a new water treatment plant and pipe network in Taing Kouk district, Kampong Thom, inaugurated by Minister H.E. Hem Vanndy and Ambassador Yip.

The climate resilient system will bring safe water to 10,000 people, four schools and a health centre, helping Cambodia move closer to universal clean water access by 2030.

The Minister and Ambassador also met individuals and small business owners benefitting from this access.

អូស្ត្រាលីគាំទ្រសហគ្រាសដឹកនាំដោយជនមានពិការភាពនៅកម្ពុជា

អូស្ត្រាលីកំពុងគាំទ្រកំណើនសេដ្ឋកិច្ចប្រកបដោយបរិយាបន្ន ដើម្បីធានាថាជនមានពិការភាពគ្រប់រូបអាចចូលរួមបានពេញលេញ និងទទួលបានផលប្រយោជន៍ពីការអភិវឌ្ឍជាតិ។

តាមរយៈការគាំទ្រពីរដ្ឋាភិបាលអូស្ត្រាលី និងអនុវត្តដោយ Mekong Inclusive Ventures (MIV) សហគ្រាសធុនតូច និងមធ្យមដែលដឹកនាំដោយជនមានពិការភាព ទទួលបានការបណ្តុះបណ្តាលជាក់ស្តែង និងការផ្តល់ប្រឹក្សាផ្ទាល់ ដើម្បីពង្រឹងអាជីវកម្ម និងស្វែងរកឱកាសរីកចម្រើនថ្មីៗ។

Australia champions disability-led enterprises in Cambodia

Australia is supporting inclusive economic growth, ensuring that all people with disabilities can fully participate and benefit from the country’s development.

Through support from the Australian Government delivered by Mekong Inclusive Ventures (MIV), disability led small and medium enterprises receive practical training and tailored mentorship to strengthen their business and unlock new grow opportunities.

Meet Try Sophearac, founder of KEBORAN, a handicrafts enterprise producing hand woven fabric, clothing and carved wooden souvenirs. KEBORAN employs 10 people with disabilities and plays an important role in preserving traditional Khmer crafts.

With the support, Sophearac completed a six month business training program that strengthened his digital marketing skills, enabling KEBORAN to expand its reach and boost business performance.
