Operation Lead Wanted!

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Operations Lead will undertake a critical role in the core program team, taking responsibility for the efficient implementation and management of human resources, the office facilities, administration, logistics and IT functions.

The role will also work closely with the COO to ensure the smooth operation of the office systems for effective management of CAPRED’s operations. This role is not responsible for the financial, procurement and grant functions. Nor any program technical areas. This is an entrepreneurial role, which requires creativity, proactive thinking, ownership, self-accountability, adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

Meet Our CNai Winner: Congratulations to Ms Im Soukhim, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cam Agro Food, for winning the CNai Accelerator program.

Supported by Australia through the CAPRED program, CNai empowers small and growing businesses in Cambodia by enhancing their investment readiness, connecting them with investors, and promoting gender-lens investment principles.

Through the CNai Accelerator progam, Ms Soukhim progressed from receiving business training to participating in a business pitching competition. As the winner, she was granted seed funding to further develop her business and expand its market reach.

With a passion for food innovation, Ms. Soukhim transforms surplus agricultural produce into sustainable, high-value products like dried chili, dried moringa, and other spices.

Australia Supports Cambodia’s Clean Water Future

Over the past decade, Australia’s support has helped bring clean piped water to over 1 million rural Cambodians. We’re proud to continue working with Cambodia towards achieving universal access to clean water by 2030.

Through our CAPRED program, we are supporting the 5th Cambodian Water Conference & Exhibition in partnership with the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, the Cambodian Water Supply Association, and the Australian Water Association.

This year’s theme, ‘Water for a Sustainable Future’, brought together over 300 participants from government, the private sector and development partners. Together, they discussed challenges and opportunities in expanding access to clean water, particularly in rural areas.

Australia remains committed to helping Cambodia achieve a future where clean water is accessible to everyone.

Australia supports Cambodian businesses to reduce workplace harassment

Supported by Australia through the CAPRED program, the CNai Accelerator program empowers small and growing businesses in Cambodia by enhancing their investment readiness, connecting them with investors, and promoting gender-lens investment.

The program provides training to better equip new businesses to prevent and address sexual harassment and other forms of misconduct in the workplace. Workplace sexual harassment in Cambodia is widespread, with an estimated 40-60% of women and 10% of men experiencing harassment at work (International Labor Organization).

The training prompted Sereyvong Chhinlim, Founder of Xertificiate, to develop a Safe & Inclusive Workplace Policy for his own small business that all staff members will be required to sign.

Xertificate, among the top four finalists of the CNai program, focuses on blockchain-based credential certificates, enabling the secure, digital issuance of certificates with traceability and credential verification.

📣 Request for Proposals for G-PSF Management Information System Feasibility Study

CAPRED seeks to engage a consulting firm to conduct a Feasibility Study on a G-PSF MIS for the Monitoring and Evaluation of G-PSF. The objective of the feasibility study for the G-PSF Management Information System (MIS) is to comprehensively assess the technical, operational, financial, and organisational viability of developing an integrated MIS to enhance tracking, management, and reporting within the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF). This study will ensure that the MIS supports the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) in executing effective government-private sector collaboration.

📣 Request For Proposals for Foreign Direct Investment by the Local Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Linkage Survey

CAPRED seeks to engage a qualified consulting firm to survey large firms, including both local and foreign-owned large firms, on their linkages with Cambodian SMEs. The survey will determine whether forward and backward linkages exist (number of local SME suppliers), the extent of these linkages (share of total intermediate inputs/costs provided by local SMEs), and where they exist in the value chain. The survey also aims to uncover the constraints and challenges to broader and deeper linkages, and potential strategies and policies to promote and strengthen linkages.
