ចាប់តាំងពីឆ្នាំ ២០០០ មកផ្ទះ និងអាជីវកម្ម រាប់លានខ្នងក្នុងប្រទេសអូស្រ្តាលី ត្រូវបានលើកទឹកចិត្តឱ្យដំឡើងបន្ទះសូឡានៅលើដំបូល ដែលឥឡូវនេះបានរួមចំណែក ១១,២ ភាគរយ នៃការផ្គត់ផ្គង់អគ្គិសនីរបស់ប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលី។
កាលពីពេលថ្មីៗនេះ អូស្ត្រាលី តាមរយៈកម្មវិធី CAPRED បានរៀបចំដំណើរទស្សនកិច្ចជូនដល់ប្រតិភូកម្ពុជា ដើម្បីស្វែងយល់អំពីវឌ្ឍនភាព ក៏ដូចជាបញ្ហាប្រឈមនានារបស់ប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលី ក្នុងការរួមបញ្ចូលធនធានថាមពលចែកចាយបន្ថែម ដើម្បីសម្រេចបាននូវគោលដៅអព្យាក្រឹតកាបូន។
ប្រតិភូចូលរួមក្នុងដំណើរទស្សនកិច្ចនេះ រួមមាន តំណាងមកពីខាងក្រសួងរ៉ែ និងថាមពលកម្ពុជា អាជ្ញាធរអគ្គិសនីកម្ពុជា និងអគ្គិសនីកម្ពុជា - EDC បានស្តាប់ដោយផ្ទាល់ពីលោក Aiden Gould ដែលជាម្ចាស់ផ្ទះម្នាក់រស់នៅក្នុងរដ្ឋ New South Wales។ លោក Gould គឺជាជនជាតិអូស្ត្រាលីម្នាក់ក្នុងចំណោមប្រជាជនអូស្ត្រាលីជាង ៣,៦៨ លាននាក់ ដែលបានប្តូរទៅប្រើប្រាស់សូឡាដើម្បីឆ្ពោះទៅរកការរស់នៅប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព។

Since 2000, millions of Australian homes and business have been incentivised to install rooftop solar panels, which now contribute 11.2% of Australia's electricity supply.
Australia, through the CAPRED program, recently hosted a Cambodian delegation to learn about Australia’s progress and challenges in integrating additional distributed energy resources to achieve its net zero target.
Participants, including representatives from Cambodia's Ministry of Mines and Energy Cambodia, Electricity Authority of Cambodia and Electricité du Cambodge, heard firsthand from Aiden Gould, a homeowner in New South Wales. Mr Gould is one of the more than 3.68 million Australians who have switched to solar in a move towards sustainable living.
After installing his 18-kilowatt rooftop solar and battery system, Mr Gould not only benefits from the power generated by his solar panels but also earns income by feeding excess electricity back into the grid.
Australia is committed to sharing this learning as part of ongoing support for Cambodia to achieve its ambitious goals of 70 percent renewable energy by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050.

Through our Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED) program, we were proud to be a co-sponsor of the recent launch of the Neary Rattanak VI Strategic Plan 2024-2028.
The Strategic Plan aims to advance gender equality and inclusion in Cambodia through six priority strategies, including women’s economic empowerment and women and climate change, from climate adaptation to community resilience.
Presided over by Minister of Women's Affairs H.E. Dr Ing Kantha Phavi, and the Australian Embassy’s Ms Amber Cernovs, the launch drew more than 500 participants.

Australia supports Cambodian youth-driven climate solutions
Climate change poses an urgent threat to our region, but many young Cambodians are committed to making a difference.
Australia was proud to support the Cambodia Youth Climate Change program. Through a series of workshops, field visits and discussions held from January to April, the program engaged about 60 students to learn about climate change challenges and develop innovative solutions.
At the program’s culminating conference on 28 April, these young environmental leaders showcased their resulting climate solutions – ranging from mobile solar panels for renewable energy to plastic recycling and eco-friendly products. ♻️
Australia is supporting Cambodia to strengthen its resilience to climate change impacts, transition to clean energy, and meet its climate neutrality target by 2050.
