CA Exam Question Sparks Political Controversy

In the ongoing CA Examinations, a question which was framed as 'NaMo Ltd has taken over RaGa Ltd' has sparked a controversy.

One party has raised an objection, "Educational institutes should be free of politics. This is a clear political agenda and we condemn it. There was no need to introduce political names in the question Paper".

The party has demanded the Institute to make corrections and prevent such things to happen.

The Exam Department of ICAI has responded on this matter and stated that this was just a coincidence and promised to avoid such things in future.

The issue is related to CA IPCC Advanced Accounting Paper.

ICAI’s Members and Student services have been made online, in digitized form on a new platform which works on a Self Service Mode on the Self Service portal (SSP). Application forms are available online now barring a few which will also be available shortly. Kindly visit e-services on www.icai.org. 

ICAI has decided to waive off delay condonation fee on all application forms with transaction dates between 01st April 2019 to 30th June 2019 and submitted online by 31st July 2019.

The members and students are re-assured that SSP life Cycle Portal will be in full stream in next few days time and we regret for inconvenience caused to you.

Important Announcement
CA exams earlier scheduled on 13th June 2019 and postponed on account of cyclone at some centres to be held on 24th June 2019.

It is hereby informed that the exams in respect of the following papers scheduled on 13th June 2019 at Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Gandhidham, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Rajkot which were earlier postponed, on account of the cyclone, will now be held on 24th June 2019 at the same venue(s) and at the same time.

Group II Paper 5 - Advanced Management Accounting of Final (Old Syllabus);

Group II Paper 5 - Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation of Final (New Syllabus) and

Paper 3 Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics of Foundation exam

Admit cards already issued will remain valid for admission to the exam on 24th June 2019. 

Candidates are advised to take note of the above and act accordingly.
