Canada's spy agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), has initiated a workplace assessment of its British Columbia office following serious allegations of sexual assault and harassment raised by whistleblowers. 2 friends rescue driver from dump truck overturned in frigid waters
Devin Campbell was driving home from a trip to Renfrew with his father when he rounded a tight corner on Barryvale Road. He saw tire tracks going off the road and a guardrail toppled over. After he pulled over, he saw the truck lying on its side.
According to Campbell, oil was coming out of the overturned truck. He told his father to call 91 1 and then he called his wife to bring him a pair of rubber boots, a pair of gloves and a rope. By coincidence Campbell said a friend of his, Gord Gaddess, drove by the scene on his way to the airport. He pulled over and the two men moved from the shoreline to the truck's door.

Alberta BMO customer on the hook after almost $10K disappeared from her account
An Alberta woman says she has to repay almost $10,000 — plus interest — after her line of credit was drained and the money transferred out of her Bank of Montreal account without her permission. She checked her account, noticed a lot of money was missing, and immediately called the bank's corporate hotline to report it.
BMO investigated the transactions but will not reimburse her for the missing amount. MacNeil is now responsible for paying back the money, plus 10.8 per cent interest.

Thousands of pro-Israel demonstrators on Parliament Hill in a show of solidarity🇦🇷
Thousands of pro-Israel demonstrators from across the country gathered on Parliament Hill Monday to show solidarity with the country as it takes on Hamas in Gaza — and to call for an end to antisemitism in Canada.
The crowd heard from a range of speakers, including prominent Jewish Canadian politicians, religious leaders, non-Jewish allies and embattled students from Canada's universities.
All of them had a similar rallying cry: Canada must stand should-to-shoulder with Israel as it confronts a militant group bent on destroying the Jewish state.

Democracy activist Agnes Chow, now in Canada, won't return to face trial in Hong Kong
Agnes Chow, a prominent pro-democracy activist from Hong Kong, has announced that she will not return to the city to meet her bail conditions, becoming the latest figure to flee under Beijing's crackdown on dissidents. Police search Sharbot Lake property following murder charge
A large number of police officers could be seen fanning out around a rural property near Sharbot Lake, Ont., on Monday as the investigation into the disappearance of Kevin Camilleri continues. Camilleri was reported missing Nov. 16. He had last been seen a week before, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Some officers could be seen carrying hoses and hydraulic rescue tools toward a white house standing on a snowy hill. Others were seen looking through a car parked out front. Police vehicles, including forensic vans and an underwater search and recovery truck, were lined up along the road.
