The Ottawa Hospital says Ottawa police are investigating after someone found poured gasoline and unspecified antisemitic messages at its General campus. In an email, a hospital spokesperson said they were found in a clinical area overnight on Thursday. Ottawa police said in an email officers were called around 11:15 p.m. 🏥

After that, a 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with various hate-motivated offences. He allegedly made a threatening phone call to an Ottawa rabbi, who said hate toward Jewish people has "skyrocketed" after the Oct. 7 cross-border raid by Hamas that set off the latest Israel-Hamas war. 👮‍♂️

Child deliberately killed during gang-related shooting in Edmonton, police say 🔫

An 11-year-old boy was intentionally shot to death along with his father Thursday near a southeast Edmonton gas station in what police are calling a troubling escalation of gang violence in the city.

Resident Rose Betthale-Reid says the state of health care is bad across the N.W.T., but her community is in a unique situation. "Fort Liard's got the worst of it, because we're right close to B.C. border and we're far away from Yellowknife," she said.

An official from the Canadian Embassy in Egypt said Sunday that more than 200 Canadians and people with connections to Canada have come through the Rafah crossing and will be arriving in Cairo overnight and early Monday morning.

Evacuations through the border crossing, the only entry point to Gaza not controlled by Israel, were suspended for a third time on Friday after issues around transporting injured Palestinians from northern Gaza. It reopened Sunday.
