Subject- CA Final Level Question asked in CA Inter Jan 2026 FM/SM Que 3(a)

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I wish to draw your kind attention to CA Intermediate January 2026 FM–SM Examination, Question No. 3(a).

The question involved External Funds Requirement (EFR) and capital structure analysis, concepts which are actually dealt with at the CA Final (AFM) level & are not covered in CA Intermediate syllabus. As a result, many students were unsure about attempting the question, despite adequate preparation.

Given the significant weightage of 8 marks, many students refrained from attempting it due to syllabus-related concerns rather than lack of efforts or understanding.

Thus, I kindly request ICAI to consider giving appropriate grace marks for Question No. 3(a) in the interest of students.

Recent FM/SM exams of CA Inter Jan 2026 had a question [Q 3a] which was of 8 marks, however that topic is actually of CA Final

Such things are not at all expected from ICAI, hwoever now since this has happened, we need to mail to ICAI regarding the same. Only then there wiil be some possibilty of getting grace marks for the same.

Ye karne se humein grace marks milega ki nahi ?

Dekho iski koi guarantee nahi. Frankly milna toh chahiye hi, kyuki ICAI ki actual mei galti hai !

But ABHI humare control mei kya hai, vo hume karna hai. Simply 2 minutes nikaal ke mail karna hai !

Further, iss issue pe ab unnecesary discussions ka bhi faayda nahi. Mail karo, aur fir AUDIT pe dhyan do !
