On this World Mental Health Day, we celebrate the “Hidden Heroes”, caregivers who silently and selflessly devote their time and effort in caring for their loved ones with mental health issues.
We are thankful to our volunteers who choose to contribute their time and effort, going beyond caring for their loved ones to caring for their communities, making a difference in the lives of many others.
On behalf of Our Better World (OBW) and CAL, we would like to invite you to OBW’s virtual community event STORY TALK: Caring for the Caregivers on 5 November, Thursday from 5:00pm – 6:30pm.

Caring for a loved one with mental health issues can be very challenging, especially when caregivers are not equipped with relevant skill sets and do not have a proper support network. It is very difficult to acknowledge that someone you love is suffering mental anguish and that you are helpless in the face of it.

Our Caregivers-to-Caregivers Training Programme (C2C) can provide the support to help caregivers cope with their situation better and recognise that the challenging behaviour they face comes from the mental health issue, and not from their loved one.
