When Squeekie lost her whisker, I lost my mind 😱 It turns out these little furry antennas were supposed to fall out 😅 As your cat grows new whiskers, it's perfectly normal for the old whiskers to drop.
Sometimes, health problems may also cause whisker shedding. Fortunately, it is not our case today 😌

The TTcare app has its pawsitives 🐾 It aims to simplify cat owners’ lives by offering AI-driven tips and recommendations on health 🩺
However, its AI isn't quite as ideal as I'd hoped. It doesn't always provide specific information, leaving me wanting more in-depth advice 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall my experience with the app was a bit of a mixed bag. Using AI in-home pet care is innovative and exciting, but the app's limitations left me feeling underwhelmed. 🤔

"I've got this on the butt-on!” - Squeekie said when she learned to sit 😸

Training your cat to sit is not only an adorable party trick, but it also teaches them focus and self-control 😇

Here is a short step-by-step guide to teaching a sit command ⤵️

Step 1: Have a treat ready and hold it above your cat's nose but slightly out of reach.

Step 2: Slowly raise the treat, encouraging your cat to lift its head and shift its weight back.

Step 3: As soon as your cat's bottom touches the ground, say "sit" and give them the treat.

Step 4: Practice and repeat, gradually increasing the time between saying "sit" and giving the treat.

I decided to ditch the dry kibble and switch my cat to canned food before eventually trying raw meat. My decision was based on Dr. Lisa Pierson's guidelines for an "ideal" wet food composition:

🍗 >40% protein
🐟 <50% fat

Dr. Lisa put together a super helpful chart featuring all transparent wet food brands about their products. The chart even includes filters, making finding the perfect option for cats with special dietary needs easy. It's a meow-sterpiece and a massive undertaking 💕
