So I'll have to repeat the process all over
Check the magic to see what to decode
Any questions?
Ive got stuffs to do .... So I'll just wrap up the lecture with the terminal decoding
We can also decode with terminal too ....use Anything at your disposal, if you find it easier ....
I sometimes use python too ... Google , just anything you are comfortable with
Let's move to the terminal
I'm using termux just because it's easier to. Access at this particular moment
We need the file command installed...if you don't have it installed on your termux... Here is the command.
This is just like magic .... It tells you the file format
Like what's encoded to
See this

Let's try to decode .... First we have to know what it was encoded to right
We can use magic to check that .... Or from experience you'll know this is a base64

We won't delve into that anymore
So I put the encoded text in a file named "decode_to" ....it's just like writing to a notepad
But with command
Then I used a command called base64 on Linux to decode it
To the last part .....
Which is the link

So this is the WhatsApp group invite to the next group ..... If you can decode you can join .....

I'll be deleting this one soon
This time I used a password to encrypt this

I'll solve it half way .....

First remember determine what it was encrypted to

So I'll solve this the way a normal user should approach it
...

First I tried using magic to determine what it was encrypted to no luck

I copied the hash and pasted on google ..... Got a link on stack overflow that mentioned openssl and base64

The fist letters were decoded to secret__

Okay sweet .....

So openssl ?....I had to go to my terminal to recheck myself so to be sure
So I wrote the encoded words to a file I just named " decode"
Then I used the command "file" to check what type of encryption was used on the file I saved earlier (decode)...
