Steve Sweeney is a British journalist serving as the Lebanon Bureau Chief for RT (Russia Today). On March 19, 2026, Sweeney and his cameraman, Ali Rida, were injured while filming a report near the Al-Qasmiya Bridge in southern Lebanon. Video footage recorded the moment a missile struck.
