I turn 27 today.

This past year, I’ve realized I always carry a scarf with me, just in case it gets cold.

It’s become a running joke with my friends. I always seem to have one.
And it reminds me of Ethiopian moms who never leave home without it, something I used to question all the time. Why are you always carrying that?

Now I get it.

Somewhere along the way you grow up and start being more fearful.

What if it gets cold? What if I get sick?
So you carry your safety net with you, just in case.

This is also the age I realized that adults can be more afraid than children.
So 26 has been about courage.

Choosing to do the things I believe in despite the fear.
Showing up anyway. Taking the step anyway.

I’m not going to stop carrying my scarf at 27 😊
But I am learning to face the day, fear and all, one step at a time.

Even though I usually have my scarf somewhere in the background, here’s a picture without one.

We all know that I started this channel to be consistent on DSA and to get opportunities with it. Yeah, together we achieved A2Sv, and honestly, I joined an amazing community there. So, I wanted to share these benefits with you too.

I am thinking of starting a kind of podcast or SMA with those people, especially with Codeforce Nerd and those who joined Silicon Valley companies like Bloomberg. So, let me know your interest and any advice or thoughts so we can make this community better.

Story Time

I had an exam today, and after that I went to get my hair braided just to relax a bit. While waiting, there was a vendor nearby showcasing a product they launched a few months ago.

We started talking. She was editing TikTok videos for her product and explaining how they’re growing it. Normally, I would have just listened and moved on. But this time, I said I could help by building a website.

She shared her contact, and now we’re planning to meet.

It wasn’t planned. Just a normal day, a random conversation.

Sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Your client can be anywhere. What matters is showing up and speaking when the moment comes.
