Before starting a side project, understand your target users first.

Put yourself in their shoes and think how will this improve their life

Achieving goals in life is much easier with clear direction and clear commitments we follow with dedication. I also believe that documenting our goals and commitments is a very good way of keeping track of our progress and keeping ourselves accountable. I am going to try following the below method in order to keep track of my goals and keep my habits in check.

1. Define clear goals with respective deadlines.
2. Define clear daily and weekly habits under each goal so that I can see clearly what I have to do.
3. Keep track of my daily habits and review my consistency from time to time.

For this, I thought of using pen and paper but thought that might be very hard to keep track of.

Therefore, I built a simple tool that I am going to use to define my goals and habits, look at habits due for today and log them, record my consistency and streak as well as show me which goals I am working more towards.

I built the tool for my own use but you can also visit and use it for yourself if you want to follow the same method of keeping yourself accountable. I used Claude Opus 4.6 and Codex to quickly roll it out.

Sometimes we compare ourself with our friends or with people surrounding us. And we feel like we lost or we are not doing anything compared to them. But bruh the reality is you are going in your pace just ignore the comparison with others. It's you vs you.

be happy you come so far and you will go more. Don't let your dreams shade by others success. Its all about youuuuu.

It's You vs You. And don't forget God won't let you to just dream. If you believe in him everything gonna be perfect.

🚀 Built something fun recently: Chillno

A cozy but competitive UNO-style game with online multiplayer.

Still early and definitely not the final form, but it’s playable and I wanted to share it with you guys:

🎮 What’s inside:

➡️ Real-time rooms (2–4 players)

➡️ Custom cards like RPS (Rock, Paper, Scissors) and Heads/Tails

➡️ UNO callouts + penalties (don’t forget 😈)

🛠 Tech stack:

➡️ React + TypeScript + Vite

➡️ WebSockets (Node + ws)

➡️ Tailwind + Framer Motion

Big shoutout to good ol’ GPT for helping me move faster

You can play with others in public or private lobbies or just run it solo against the “AI”:

If you try it out, I’d really appreciate feedback. Especially on gameplay, UI, or anything that feels off 🙏

EID MUBAREK 🌙 my muslim family. Wish you a happy holiday 😊.

My home is just 3–4 meters from a masjid. I grew up with the sound of the azan —7, 10, even 1 at night it felt like part of my life.

Half of my childhood friends were Muslim. When they went to Qirat, some of us went to Sunday school. We didn’t think much about it… we just grew up together.

We celebrated everything together.
But Ramadan… Ramadan always felt special.

At iftar time, our whole area would come alive. People gathering around the masjid, sharing food, smiling, greeting each other. As a village, we joined in sedeka with whatever we had. And when it was our turn , during Christian holidays we invited them, sat together, drank coffee, and laughed through the night.

I still remember helping my Muslim neighbors prepare food on Eid eve… and the sound of the masjid all night long.

That’s how I grew up.
Different beliefs, but one community. One heart.

We didn’t just live next to each other we lived with each other.

And honestly… differences feel so small when there is real love.

Eid Mubarak to my Muslim friends 🤍
I miss you all, my hometown people 🌙

Introducing የዝማሬ ማዕድ (YeZemare Maed)

Selam everyone! 👋

During this Abiy Tsom, I really wanted a place to just listen to Orthodox Mezmurs peacefully with the lyrics, without getting distracted by recommendations, or cluttered UIs. I couldn't find an app that did exactly what I wanted... so I decided to fight with some scripts and build it myself!

The User Experience:
-Clean, distraction-free audio streaming.
-Fully categorized by Zemarian and Mezmur categories.
-5 different custom themes designed to feel natural and calm.

Still a work in progress!

• Around 75% of tracks don’t have lyrics yet
• Lyrics are being generated in the background (AI + API limits)
Couldn’t wait ...wanted to share early and get your feedback 🙏

I’d love any ideas or improvements
