The story of my first love

It’s common knowledge that most of people fall in love at school. The same thing happened to me. As I said before I had fallen for a girl at the age of yours when I was 17. My significant other was a year younger. She was really bad at studying but no one could take photos better than her. I suppose, she had a gift for that.

You couldn’t help admiring her blue eyes and a charming smile. What’s more, we had the same tastes in music. It’s little wonder, coz her father used to be a rock musician. Her classmates crushed on but her heart was out of reach. But as far as your remember, love will creep where it may not go.

Our first dialogue was really cringeworthy. Guess what, we discussed Sherlock Holmes 😁 And during the talk a bet happened. Taking into consideration the fact that I’m pretty fond of A. Conan Doyle’s stories she definitely lost the bet and as a penalty she invited me to the cinema. There we watched the Lion King. It was the most favourite cartoon of ours.

So, at the end of the date we kissed. We started dating on February 28. Just imagine, I still remember the exact day 😁 We had so much fun together. We could talk by phone all nights long, miss the classes at school, escape the cafes without paying the bills. We dreamt that one day we would have a big house where she would keep a lot of cats and I would have many guitars. We used to hate the whole world together and we found that feeling the most lovely thing we had ever had.

But one day ruined everything...

As I said before, one day had ruined everything...

As far as you remember, I entered the Defense College to become an officer. So that I used to live in the barracks and we couldn't meet up as often as it was before. And I dunno the way it happened... but she fell into bad associations. The thing happened that I couldn't prevent. She became an addict, hopefully, you know, what I mean. As a result, it led to many weird and stranger things occurred to her.

And there's a question that bothers me all the time. Could we stay together if I hadn't left her? Did I fail her?

So, our paths separated: I became an officer and she kept on chillaxing. I saw her in the pharmacy a couple of years ago. She looked good but it seemed to me she didn't even recognize me. It's little wonder, a lot of water had flown under the bridge since the time we last met up.

I wish I knew where she is now and really hope, she's fine.

There's no happy end of this story, but there's a message for you, mates: don't let anything happen to you.

You are the ones who control your fate 🙏
