Plateau is not the end — it is the runway
You hit targets, earn promotions, receive awards. But growth slows. You feel stuck. This is the plateau paradox: success by all measures, yet a sense of dead end.
The solution: stop asking "How do I contribute more?" and start asking "How can we scale an enterprise capable of far more?". Shift from individual contributor to enterprise-level thinking.
In the pursuit of capital, it is easy to get stuck at the level of "I am doing everything right." You hit KPIs, close deals, but do not grow. A plateau is not failure. It is a signal that your current capabilities are exhausted. The next level requires not more effort, but a new mindset.
One ritual to maintain clarity: once a month, ask yourself "What questions have I stopped asking because I got used to success?" Write down three. Do not look for answers — just capture the questions. This returns you to a student mindset, not an expert's. When you stop asking, you stop growing.
