Zehra Kurtay: I Accept the War Invitation of French Imperialism — We Will Win

I am Zehra Kurtay.
I am a revolutionary from Turkey who has been living in France for 18 years.
In May, my residence permit was revoked and a decision was issued for my deportation to Turkey.
Contact was established with the Turkish Consulate, and a travel document and plane ticket were obtained.
I was taken into custody, held in a deportation center—which is a detention camp—and I regained my freedom through solidarity.
Since July 3, I have been on an indefinite hunger strike in the tent we set up in front of the historic arch located at Strasbourg Saint-Denis in Paris.
My demand is to regain my right of residence.
For exactly 165 days, I have been resisting for justice with my hunger, laying my body down in the heart of Paris.
I am in the heart of Paris, in front of the eyes of the whole world.

Since the beginning of 2025, French Imperialism has deported exactly 40,000 people to their countries.
My resistance, my hunger, is so as not to become the forty-thousand-and-first person.
In October, I applied for political refugee status to the French asylum authority called OFPRA.
The asylum institution informed me, via a letter it sent, that my application had been annulled.
Yesterday, on December 12, we learned through our lawyer that my hearing, which was to take place on December 15, was postponed to January 12.

We know imperialism too well to perceive these two decisions, taken one after the other, as anything innocent

Their aim is to use all the means at their disposal to avoid returning the rights they have usurped from me, and to stretch the legal process to the latest possible point in time.

I, who for exactly 165 days have been explaining the injustice of imperialism in the middle of Paris together with our tent comrades, say: I accept the war launched by French Imperialism through the use of the laws in its hands.
I will continue to resist.
I will continue my struggle for justice with my hunger.
No lie,
no criminalization,
no legal coercion will be able to break our resistance.
Imperialism will see the price of every act of coercion it commits in our resistance tent, which we call our BRICK HOUSE.
Imperialism will see what a war of will waged together with the Comrades of Mahir looks like.
