"We have no choice but to live communism in the midst of everything: whether we are in cities or countrysides, no matter how much we currently rely on structures we despise, no matter how entangled we are with systems we reject. A revolutionary force will be built by immersing ourselves in the world, not separating ourselves from it."

We need black locust hedge rows, train heists, masonry heaters, mutual aid groups that tow fragments of the antarctic ice sheet to Africa for drinking water, turmeric farms, floating lake chinampa communes, oxen feats of strength competitions, 3d printed sunflower seed machine guns, falconeers, guinea hens and pigs all over the fucking place to keep the citiots away, algae vats in the basement, woodlot improvement strategies, etc. This is how we win.

We need to factory farm crickets, we need to visit old people and join the fire department, communal bathing, go fishing, melt down aluminum stuff, lift weights, sew bonnets, make underwater drones that sabotage deep sea mining robots, whittle spoons, use a compass sometimes, grow some mushrooms.... #pathb

The City in the Forest

Reinventing Resistance for an Age of Climate Crisis and Police Militarization

https://cwc.im/CityintheForest

Since April 2021, police abolitionists and environmentalists have been engaged in a furious struggle to prevent the destruction of a precious stretch of forest in Atlanta, Georgia, where the government aims to build a police training compound and facilitate the construction of a giant soundstage for the film industry. In the following analysis, participants in the movement chronicle a year of action, charting the movement’s victories and setbacks and exploring the strategies that inform it. This campaign represents a crucial effort to chart new paths forward in the wake of the George Floyd Rebellion, linking the defense of the land that sustains us with the struggle against police.
