"Capitalism, as the first socio-economic system, has de-totalized meaning; capitalism can adapt to any culture, any religion, in the course of a flagging nihilism" - Note on Boredom - Translation of a piece by Achim Szepanski - Read more: https://enoughisenough14.org/2020/09/20/note-on-boredom/

- stingray-equivalent devices exist for LTE, so forcing a protocol won't necessarily protect you
- what they do is collect your device's unique ID, called an IMEI, or your subscriber ID, called IMSI. Those can later be matched to your identity if you brought a non-anonymous non-burner
- typically, stingray devices don't supply backhaul, which is to say, they usually won't give you any kind of network access after you connect. So they can't monitor your traffic because there won't be any
- if you use a VPN or Tor, nobody listening can tell what services you're even connecting to (like telegram, etc) much less your username
- all of the previous doesn't matter if your phone itself is bugged in some way, and there's no lack of theories to that effect
- most keyboard apps collect your data, and therefore have the potential to keylog you. If you're on Android, "AnySoftKeyboard" doesn't connect to the internet and is a fairly privacy-friendly choice, last I checked

The above is based on work in a relevant field, recollection of wikipedia articles, and general background knowledge. I could still be wrong, so don't hesitate to double check that info.

In summation, recommendations based on the above:
- get a burner if you want to have a phone on-location
- don't turn it on until you're there or nearly there
- NEVER EVER turn it on at home
- never use any navigation app to calculate directions to or even search for a place that can identify you (e.g. home)
- on the phone itself, if you use a VPN or Tor it doesn't realistically matter if you use your usual telegram account or another one, because if cell devices are compromised to the level where you can still be IDed we're all fricked anyway
- if possible and if you know how, a custom ROM on an Android burner (with Google services removed entirely!) is about as secure as you can get. Many older devices are great for this, with great custom ROM support, and quite cheap.

BREAKING: Grand Jury decision: three counts of first "wanton endangerment" against Brett Hankison, who was already fired from the police after reports that he had fired "wildly" or "blindly" during Breonna Taylor's killing.

That is a Class D Felony carrying a maximum of 5 years for each count. The other officers will walk free. The Kentucky Attorney General press conference will be forthcoming any minute now.

Shame on the corrupt and racist carceral system and their bullshit systems of "accountability."

Rage and Solidarity.
