It's very exhausting to wait 15 minutes for Swift Backup to back up my apps, compress /sdcard into a 7z archive, wait another 20 minutes to transfer the entire 87GB archive to my PC at 50 to 82MB/s, format the storage, and then transfer the 7z file back to my phone.

By the way, my backup created by Swift Backup is 100GB compared to the 87GB archive. The only difference is the backup method used

⚠️ A Personal Note:

This is the first and final release from my side. I no longer have the time to maintain, update, or work on root-related projects. ROM Shifter is fully featured, highly optimized, and open-source.

If anyone wants to fork it, add new features, or continue development, you are more than welcome to carry the legacy forward.

Just out of curiosity (mainly needed suggestions for features XD) 👀

What's that one thing you almost always do manually after switching to a new ROM and after Rooting?

Excluding the obvious stuffs like flashing, apps backups, and restores...

Curious to know everyone's pre/post-install routine.

Ofc it will jump percentage suddenly sometimes because of parallel processing but that's all I can do without compromising on speed..

But I installed it to test the speed, now how can I check the speed... Anyways

Did some research and tests 🤧 to ensure every Android versions from Android 8 to Android 17 will get the max Restore Speed..

And yeah the app is almost done so it's not taking more time now,
Unlike the previous ROM Shifter script which had some issues are fixed in the App after a lot of research, tests (performed by me) and other things...

I maybe public the repo today as well ;)

It's not released yet* i've to make some more changes to it before releasing a final app
