a comparison to an older meme i made for SON😭😭 (that might sound a little ridiculous, but hear me out) is MICHI.
MICHI was well loved amongst CT because of the customizability and creativity that revolves around the photo of the cat. people created their own variants of the cat putting it in different outfits to their own liking.
this is quite literally what is happening with the SON😭😭 meme on tiktok with gen z. they love the meme, they are creating their own variants of the meme with stickers, and it is easily seen as they are spamming the stickers in tiktok comments, etc
there are tiktoks right now of ppl posting the different SON😭😭 sticker meme variants, saying that they're trying to collect them all, not only that kids are ranking them as well. all these videos racking of tens of thousands of views, interactions and some even hitting millions of views.
in terms of virality/mindshare amongst gen z, impressions and engagement on tiktok, and overall memeability, customization and creativity
i reaaaally think SON😭😭 sub 200k is undervalued, in comparison to many other things that gen z has latched on to + comparison to other tiktok memes at the moment
i can't guarantee that the price will go up but this is just my thoughts on the meme, why i'm holding it and i will hold it to see if my thesis plays out
