i know i said i’d be more active here and i haven’t been lol

just been keeping my head down and trading. february was pretty stagnant for me. came back after moving and vacation eager to get back into the trenches, took some big Ws and some big Ls so nothing really meaningful tbh.

going into march i made it my goal to go green everyday. had a strong start to march and was stacking green days. hit some good wins while trenching, got confident, sized into a couple plays.. and got absolutely wrecked on all of them, basically giving back a lot of the profit i made while trenching.

i decided i needed a reset and switched up my strategy:
1. start 30 sol on the day
2. trench on new pairs on some plays i like
3. move any profit i make on the day into stables into cold wallet
4. go back to step 1

i'll probably keep doing this until i feel like the market starts to feel a little better, but since i've started doing this it keeps me grounded and disciplined

funnily enough people say safer plays are higher caps, but i feel like i perform better trenching shitters. once the market feels better and i’m more comfortable i’ll start sizing again, but for now i've just been using JUICE on higher caps.

i also recently stopped trading on my fomo wallet. felt like i was losing the plot, went from solid size plays to blasting shitters and just losing. i’ll use it again eventually, but for now just holding JUICE on it.

anyways, sorry if you’ve been here expecting shared plays or alpha. this has been moreso just a place to jot my thoughts down/a trading journal for me to look back on while thinking out loud (which happens to be public for whoever joins)

once i feel good about the market again i’ll potentially start sharing plays, but right now it’s in a pretty shit spot and i don’t want people losing money on anything i’m not confident in.

i think memes in the trenches are in a very sad state

we've fallen very far from where this space once was in terms of giga runners and rallying sending coins to hundreds of millions or even billions

nobody anymore cares purely about a meme, if they do the creator needs to be on board, gud team, needs a bullish bundle and/or a tracked wallet needs to buy it

we are no longer in a memes market, we have become extremely dependent on catalysts

in recent memory, the runners that we've gotten have all been very catalyst or viral dependent, or some creator onboard

for example, nietzschean penguin, distorted face and optimistic minion.. we relied heavily on many social media interns posting those images in order to measure how good the coin was

a different example that i can remember would be punch, maya the voting dog, astro (elon's new dog which turned out to be fake) for coins that ran based on news tweets

trading memes once used to be abt coming together, camaraderie, community. alot of newer traders wouldn't understand just due to the landscape of the trenches now and everyone is just trying to extract as much money as they can

okay after a little bit of trading today with new x comms not being able to be created here are my thoughts

new pairs are a complete wasteland and literal free for all PVP w x comms gone

ppl are trading like chickens running around w their heads chopped off, solely bcus ppl don't have an x comm to rely on, constantly check on and cling to for community and news, ppl are getting the fuck out on the first pump/catalyst they see

i witnessed this firsthand on both claude character (anthropic announced that claude has a differentiation between emotions and the ai itself) and clappy feet (discord introducing some feet profile emoji customization shit) today. both textbook new pairs trench plays that would rely on views, catalysts to play out.

both had tweet catalysts that played out, causing a pump which then got absolutely nuked and slow bled into 0

now if there was an x comms would these plays had a fighting chance for a bounce? maybe, idk but i'd like to think so becus ppl wouldn't be so scared to hold. but without x comms right now ppl are trenching and they feel like they are blind.

the introduction of x comms + catalyst based coins have effectively cucked us as a space. ppl would rely on x comms for constant updates, reassurance, and essentially gave a helping hand to those who couldn't dd or research for themselves.

until the trenchers and new pair warriors figure out a way that they'll find a sense of community again (without reliance of x comms) it might be fr COOKED until further notice

we can easily do telegram groups again but with deployers used to so easily doing x comms, rapid deploying on the spot, nobody wants or knows how to set up buybots and raidbots anymore

all in all, i think the end point is this. when we made the shift from a memes market to a catalyst market ppl lost their way.

anyways, i hope this somehow makes us return to tradition and bidding community good memes

sorry to say that the memecoin 'new pair' space will never get better as long as platforms like Axiom and Terminal keep badging up and glorifying 6+ multi-walleter bundlers and chart rapists

these multi-walleters are the ones who generate the most fees for these trading platforms (axiom, terminal), so ppl are asking.. why don't these platforms do something abt it? don't we need to prolong the memecoin space as long as we can? no. they're going to siphon every lick out of the trenches while they still can before either 1. their platforms get shutdown or 2. memecoins are completely dead

they're not gonna do anything to their affiliates that are quite literally generating them the most money. they don't care abt bettering the space, they care abt generating as much fees as they can

sounds like a lot of cope and bitching to me, and it also seems that a lot of ppl wish toly was shilling their bags instead

one of the biggest skills that will separate you from other trenchers is analyzing the potential r/r on a play that is presented in front of you

1. toly has only hard shilled 2 coins prior to $burnie and they all went to multimillion evaluations. he quote rt'd and followed the page of this one
2. if you kept up with what toly posts on X, he is frequently shitting on bernie sanders
3. toly shits on memecoins, but what do you know he actually likes this one (probably becus of reason #2, he resonates with it)

anyways i'm just rambling, these are my thoughts because i keep seeing ppl in numerous gcs and on the timeline just angry and mad abt toly shilling $burnie. ppl think too critically on some coins sometimes and it causes uncertainty, then ppl end up coping and they're apeing $burnie betas.

ppl are straight up gambling on the mayhem bot and onchain volume is sooooo slow because of it

quite literally the worst feature that pump has even pushed out, json even put out a thread saying how mayhem mode is very experimental and that you should not partake if you are unaware of the risks
