It's been a few weeks since I last wrote any code, and I felt the urge to build something fun as a little recreation project yesterday. I didn't want to feel guilty about coding, so I decided to create an educational bot that could help me with my studies!


This simple bot allows you to input a short note, and it will generate up to 10 questions (either as a text or quiz/poll) based on that note. I'm really looking forward to finishing it by lunchtime today if all goes well!

For this project, I chose to use TinyDB as the database since it's a small project and Ididn't want to struggle with SQL and MongoDB. If you're working on a small project and enjoy working with JSON, I highly recommend checking out TinyDB. However, keep in mind that it might not be suitable for larger projects.

remember when I told you I was gonna publish my Telegram bot? well... I didn’t finish it back then 😅 but guess what? it's finally out now 🎉 it’s a bot that takes your notes and magically turns them into quiz questions (yeah, I used Gemini AI for that )

I deployed it last night on pythonanywhere and honestly I don’t even know if it’s still running rn... hold up, lemme check it real quick 😅 if you try it and it’s dead 💀 just ping me — pythonanywhere kills the script every 1-2 days, blame them not me 💁 it’s version v1.0.0, so don't expect too much 😅 more features will come (well... probably after I take my National Exam 📚 so don't hold your breath )

🚨 oh and one thing... since I’m using free tier for everything (API + deployment), there are limits 😢 so yeah... at some point it might ask for money 💸 don't be mad lol it’s just to keep it alive with better hosting (I swear it’s not a scam 😂)

If you want to add the extension to your Chromium browser, follow these steps:

1️⃣ Download the repo as a zip file and extract it.
2️⃣ Open your browser and click on the menu.
3️⃣ Find "Extensions" and click on "Extension Management."
4️⃣ Turn on Developer Mode if it's off.
5️⃣ Click on "Load Unpacked" and select the extracted folder.
6️⃣ Boom! Enjoy the extension!

Not recommending it anymore. TinyDB wasn't a good alternative. It can't even handle 75 users properly. I don't know whether I should blame TinyDB or Python, but one of them is making it hard for my bot to function.


*Edit = Both Tinydb and Python Anywhere are the worst
