I got occupied by other jobs and had no time to maintain the bots. Now they're all stopped because I forgot to destroy some VPS instances on Digital Ocean and the amount on the invoice skyrocketed. I was thinking of moving 1-2 active bots to active VPS instances but I didn't know on which VPS I had deployed them, and now my Digital Ocean account is terminated. I'm trying to contact customer support to pay and reactivate my account, and hopefully, I will get them back online soon.
btw I manage 6-8 VPS instances. Some are for private projects and some are for the companies I work for. My average day is fighting bots on this vps instances.

I was introduced to coding during the pandemic by some Indian software engineers. I was in Grade 7 at the time. However, since I did not have a PC or smartphone it was not very productive for me. I did however have a button phone with around 32 MB of storage (the largest I had ever seen on a button phone). It was a phone I inherited from my older brother. It allowed me to write text and save it as .txt files and it also supported Java, which let me install some file editors. So what I did was write HTML and CSS code that I learned from YouTube as .txt files on this button phone, then go to a school in front of our house (the Director was friendly, and I had been helping him write documents, exams, and other materials since I was around Grade 4 or 5) to rename the files to .html and .css formats and view the results.

It was around Grade 9 when I started learning properly (even though I wasn't following the correct path). My first programming language was Python, and after that, I started building apps with sketchware, which gave me bacic concepts of programming. I also got some amazing people here mentoring me. I really wanna say thanks to them, some of them are not even in Tech industries anymore.

My full name is Beknan Chemeda (if we have met atleast once there's high probability I introduced my self as Beki, It's not because I enjoy when I someone call me Beki, it's just Some people can't pronunce my name properly and I don't want to waste their time correcting them). Soon I will be a 2nd year student at AAU. Currently, I have no idea which department I am going to study in. The only reason I will be there is for the dormitory as it is better than paying rent.
I am currently a software developer at multiple companies. My hobbies are watching tech-related series, watching football matches (I'm a City and Barca fan btw), listening to podcasts, and watching random YouTube videos.
If there are specific things you want to ask, you can, as long as it is something that can be shared publicly.

It's anonymous. Your identity is hidden. But I can still identify my friends based on the types of questions you ask. α π§
Oh, I knew who you are the moment I started reading the message. I just didn't want to share your account publicly π

1st, congrats on completing Free Trial of Life plan.
To learn coding, the first thing I recommend you understand is what you are learning to build before even starting a line of code. If you are about to learn Web Development, try to understand what a website actually is and how it works. Or, if you are specializing in Backend, first try to understand the under-the hood concepts (I will share a YouTube channel for backend specifically which teaches like this, which I am still learning a lot from).
Just make sure you don't bring any negative ideas about your potential whenever something feels off. Also, don't use AI while learning even to explain it for you. It's just lying to yourself that you are learning while you are just a back bencher in a class who hears the sound of a teacher but doesn't listen.

The other thing is how much using PBL (Project-Based Learning) helps you. When you learn a programming language, you may feel like you know it well but when you try to build projects, you don't know which concept you have to use. Just learning loops or data types doesn't mean you will know the language as long as you don't build a project. So, if you use YouTube videos to learn, watch videos that teach while building something, not just each concept one by one. Also, don't depend entirely on the video; try to improve the project you watched on YouTube by adding some features.
Make sure you ask other people for advice as well but I would rather want you to use AI for the roadmap only. After learning, if you have given something to build, then you can use AI, but as long as you are learning, just use your own effort.

Planning to work on my self these 5 Puagmes. I was kinda busy the whole summer until a week ago. It's time to take a break and work on my attention span and some other skills. AI really hurted my attention span and memory π
Btw, I did not take a break at all. I got sick the night we did SMA, then the next morning I was told to work on another project. Here I am still sick and still working π

Friends
Itβs a comedy series. It has 10 seasons and total of 236 episodes.
Some clips of Friends came across my reels almost everyday, so I finally decided to watch it all. The series is about six friends living in New York and just going through life together. They deal with jobs, relationships, family problems and many random situations. But the best part is how they make even normal everyday things funny.
I started watching this series around 2018 Meskerem and tbh it took me a long time to finish it π I mostly watched it around midnight after I finished all my works. I always ended up laughing so loud that sometimes my roommates wake up because of me π
What I like about Friends is that it doesnt need some big story to keep you watching. Sometimes they are just sitting together talking about their lives and somehow it becomes very funny. After watching them for many episodes you also start getting used to each character and their different personalities.
Some episodes are better than others and of course some jokes feel old now since the series was made many years ago. But overall I really enjoyed watching it.
If you want something simple, funny and relaxing to watch, Friends should be your go-to series.
My rating: 9/10
