France has voted to ban social media for children under 15, becoming the first European Union country to approve a nationwide age limit. President Emmanuel Macron says he will sign the bill, with the ban set to begin in September.

Macron said children should not be manipulated by “American platforms” or “Chinese algorithms.” Officials are still determining how social media companies will verify users’ ages.

BREAKING: The Department of War has identified a third U.S. service member believed to have been killed in Iran’s July 17 attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.

Sgt. Angel Rampersad, 28, had previously been listed as missing. She served as a Signal Operations Support Specialist with the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment in Ansbach, Germany.
