• The brother of Congressman Dan Kildee (D-MI), Timothy Kildee, was identified as the 57-year-old man who was shot and killed during an overnight crime spree in the Clio area.

• Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson reported that Timothy Kildee was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting around 5 a.m. on Neff Road in Vienna Township.

• The suspect in the shooting, identified as Timothy Kildee's son, was involved in a serious crash shortly after the shooting and was hospitalized in serious condition on Tuesday afternoon.

• Sheriff Chris Swanson refrained from disclosing the suspect's identity as he has not yet been formally arraigned on charges.

• Swanson indicated that the shooting was just one incident in a series of crimes committed by Timothy Kildee's son during the early hours of Tuesday.
