▫️Christian organization long plagued by allegations of child sex abuse faces another lawsuit
A missionary is accused of abusing a girl for years while serving in Indonesia for Ethnos360, a religious nonprofit group.
A Florida-based Christian organization with a history of child sex abuse allegations against it has been hit with a lawsuit claiming one of its missionaries sexually assaulted a minor overseas 15 years ago. Ethnos360, a nonprofit formerly known as New Tribes Mission, sends missionaries and their families throughout the globe. In 2019, multiple women told NBC News that they had been sexually abused decades earlier by their “dorm dads” — missionaries who were supposed to care for children at the mission’s boarding schools while their parents served in foreign countries. McClain was around 5 years old in 2005 when she met her alleged abuser, Nate Horling, the lawsuit said.

Americans rushing into countries that have been destroyed by war or other disasters and taking away all the babies they can find without even bothering to see if they are orphans, or have other family members who would care for them, has continued until modern times.
Today, Holt International is a $28 million a year operation working in many countries besides Korea, and one of the largest adoption agencies in the world. But from its inception in Korea in 1955, the majority of children adopted out to the U.S. are not orphans. The children adopted out of Korea after the Korean war were mostly children from unwed mothers, many of them babies conceived by U.S. military personnel who were there during the war. Unfortunately, 90% of these Korean mothers did not want to give up their babies, but were pressured to do so.

The audit did expose glaring shortcomings in foster kid cases, reporting that more than 3% of children in foster care in 2023 suffered “substantial neglect and/or abuse” after being placed in the homes.
More troubling, the audit found that 76% of the abuse suffered by foster children happened after they were visiting their biological families with ACS authorization.

SACRAMENTO, California — The fight over whether the consumers of the child sex trafficking industry should face tougher consequences when they buy 16- and 17-year-olds for sex continued at the California State Capitol Thursday.
Most Democrats in the Assembly rejected an attempt by Republicans to revive a proposal that would make it an automatic felony to purchase the older teens for sex. That proposal was written by Democratic Sacramento Assemblymember Maggy Krell and was blocked earlier this week by the Assembly Public Safety Committee.
