A TRP is a stamp in a foreign passport granting the right to reside temporarily in Russia. This permit is valid for 3 years.
➡️ Foreign citizens have the right to obtain a temporary residence permit in Russia on the following grounds:
1. TRP based on an allotted TRP Quota.
The TRP quota is analogous to the "green card" system in the USA. That is, the state allows those who do not have other legal grounds to obtain a TRP but can be beneficial to Russian society to do so. Applications for the quota are accepted annually in all regions of Russia.

2. TRP based on a Three-year marriage to a Russian citizen who permanently resides in Russia.
To obtain a TRP based on marriage, a foreign citizen must meet the following conditions:

✔️ The Russian spouse has permanent registration (propiska) at their place of residence.

💢 SUBMISSION OF THE ANNUAL NOTIFICATION OF RESIDENCY IN RUSSIA
➡️ This service is relevant for foreign nationals who have residence permit (ВНЖ) or temporary residence permit (РВП).
➡️ Annual notification about residence in Russia on a residence permit or temporary residence permit shall be submitted within 2 months after the end of the reporting calendar year.
The reporting calendar year is reported from the date of issuance of the residence permit or temporary residence permit. The date of issue is indicated in the residence permit or temporary residence permit itself. Not to be confused with the date of receipt of the document!
➡️ Example:
The date of issue of TRP is 01 May 2022. In this case, the Reporting Year is the period from 01 May 2022 to 01 May 2023.
The annual notification period is from 01 May 2023 to 01 July 2023.
➡️ Term of service: 1 - 3 working days.
➡️ Documents required:
1. Passport and copy of front page,
2. Registration at the place of residence,
3. Migration card,
4. Residence permit (if you have it),
5. A document confirming that the foreign national has a source of funds for living for a period of 1 year.
➡️ Stages:
1. Collection of documents (and communication with the employer if necessary);
2. Preparation of Notification for submission to the migration authority;
3. Submission of the Notification to the migration authority.
