Bihar: 33 Medical College Hospitals under PPP
PPP expansion: Bihar plans to develop and operate 33 Government Medical College Hospitals under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model (17 Greenfield + 16 Brownfield).
Greenfield model: 17 new hospitals to be developed on government land (60-year lease) with private participation.
Brownfield model: 16 existing/upcoming institutions to be managed by experienced private hospital chains under a 30-year concession.
PPP framework: Government is considering the DBFOT (Design–Build–Finance–Operate–Transfer) model with risk-sharing and competitive bidding for efficient healthcare delivery.
