With this loss, Djokovic will now have to wait more to achieve the record-extending 25th Grand Slam. Alcaraz was the overwhelming favourite to win the final, and he proved it, despite Djokovic having 10 Australian Open titles in his kitty. With this victory, Alcaraz clinched his 7th Grand Slam title, after previously winning two French Open titles, two Wimbledon titles, and two US Open titles.
