Correct Answer: C) 1,000 years

The Somnath Swabhiman Parv, held from 8 to 11 January 2026, marks 1,000 years since the attack on the Somnath Temple in 1026.

It honours the sacrifices that ensured the temple’s survival despite repeated destruction. Restored after Independence under Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the temple reopened in 1951 in the presence of Dr Rajendra Prasad, and 2026 marks 75 years of this restoration.
