Mukhya Mantri Vidyut Upbhokta Sahayata Yojana
• Purpose: Provides free electricity of up to 125 units per month to all domestic consumers.
• Implementation: Fully subsidized by Bihar—no fixed or additional charges for the first 125 units. Effective from August 1, 2025.
• Coverage: Benefits approximately 1.67 crore households (~90% of domestic consumers). Consumers using more than 125 units pay subsidized rates for the balance.
