🕸The 46th Session of the World Heritage Committee

🕸hosted by India for the first time, is scheduled to be held from 21st to 31st July 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi

🕸The logo of the 46 World Heritage Committee meeting, the Culture Minister said that it is inspired by the World Heritage Site of Hampi. The stone chariot from the Vijaya Vitthala Temple is a testament to India’s architectural grandeur and sculptural prowess.

🕸The tagline of the logo is सह नौ यशः which means in English as ‘May our Glory Grow’.

🕸 “The tagline has been derived from the ancient Sanskrit scripture ‘Taitiriya Upanishad’ (1.3.1)

The 46 World Heritage Committee meeting is being organized by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), on behalf of Ministry of Culture.

Consolidated Sinking Fund
🕸️Consolidated sinking fund (CSF) was first constituted by the Bihar government in March 2009.
🕸️Bihar government has now constituted a revised con- solidated sinking fund (CSF) with certain changes and guidelines from the RBI and centre.
🕸️A sinking fund is an account containing money set aside to pay off a debt .
🕸️This fund would be beneficial in paying off outstanding liabilities, mainly loans of the government.
🕸️The new fund would enable the government to keep a higher corpus. CSF running since 2009 has a corpus equal to 3% of the amount.
🕸️Under the new scheme, the state government has to make a conscious effort to towards building up the CSF corpus to five percent of the outstanding liabilities within a span of five years.
🕸️New CSF would also help in getting higher returns in terms of interest as the corpus money is invested by the RBI.
