The Central Government has approved the capacity expansion Stage-2 of Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station (NSTPS) of Aurangabad, wholly owned by NTPC. Under Stage 2- Three new units with 800 MW power generation capacity will be set up. This plant will be built by 2029, which will provide electricity to Bihar which will increase in the next four-five years. With the installation of three new units, the total power generation capacity of NSTPS will increase from 1980 MW to 4380 MW After the increase, the status of this project will change from Super Thermal Power Station to Mega Thermal Power Station.

An allocation of Rs.17.55 crore has been released for the Chief Minister Digital Health Scheme for the finance year 2024-25.
