🐺 Robert Eggers just dropped a new Werwulf trailer, and it's the creepiest thing I've watched all week.

It's his follow-up to Nosferatu, and Focus Features is again going for Christmas Day: December 25. A werewolf movie for the holidays. Very on brand.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe and Ralph Ineson all come back from Nosferatu. Basically a haunted family reunion.

🤓 Geek detail #1: the dialogue is all Middle English, the English of the 1300s, written with help from two Oxford professors. Those strange-sounding lines aren't mumbling, they're 700-year-old English.

Geek detail #2: the characters have no names. Taylor-Johnson is just "Man," Depp is "Woman." Reportedly, only the dog gets a name.

Honestly, I love that the trailer keeps the full wolf out of sight. Less is scarier.

🔁 A seven-year-old movie you can stream at home just beat every new release in America.

Avengers Endgame: Encore took #1 this weekend with an estimated $26M in the US and $86M worldwide, from just 3,060 theaters.

That's the third-biggest re-release opening ever, behind only Star Wars Special Edition (1997) and The Lion King 3D (2011).

Why did it work? Disney gave fans a reason to go back: the new cut adds four scenes at the end that set up Avengers: Doomsday (December 18). Add pure nostalgia, and you get homework that people actually want to do.

🤓 Geek fact: Endgame once held the all-time worldwide record, until an Avatar re-release took it back. After this weekend, Endgame sits under $40M behind Avatar again. The crown fight is back on.

✅ On Friday we predicted $25–29M. It landed at $26M (estimate). We called it!

Honestly, I didn't expect people to pay again for a movie they know by heart. That's Marvel's magic.
