there’s something in this scripture that just touched my heart. the way it said ‘Jesus wept’, He truly relates with what we feel as humans. He knows your feelings more than anyone. He understands you more than yourself. therefore, why run to the world seeking for solace but not to the source of peace Himself?

in the message translation God has commanded us to make ourselves at home in His love.
He accepts you… He loves you.
and when you feel undeserving or unworthy, God has already told you: “come to Me dirty. I am not done with you.”

i starved myself, i held onto my pain, i was depressed, i had no hope, everyday was an attempt to die——through it all, i was being taken care of by the loving hands of God, and i was too blinded to see it, yet now i see:
♡ even when i didn’t acknowledge Him, when i was a foe, His love still fought for me. ♡
now i’m dancing on the grave that i once lived in. only by His grace!

after rereading and reflecting on this scripture, i was starting to think that i might have taken the story differently
ppl had so little faith in Him, when all that He ever asked for was their heart & faith
