This is the local LaHaina artist Phil could help and support......Every day i am seeing more and more rip offs of my image without mentioning artist’s credits. People using it as their cover page, sharing it, using it in historical posts, it is now viral. As someone who lost everything in the Lahaina fires and a longtime resident and career artist of Lahaina dedicated to my art I am thrilled to see people find meaning in it, but deeply saddened by not being given any credit whatsoever. I know many have ripped the image from the Friends of Moku’ula website. That organization ended some years ago, but their website is still out there. I could certainly use funds, yet have not requested any to date. I now of necessity have a venmo account @janetspreiter. Pls consider what you are doing is not pono and correct yourselves accordingly. Here is my image i am speaking of. Feel free to share this post and help me get the word out. Mahalo!
