Financial Markets: Where do we go from here?
There is an old saying: “The Market climbs the Wall of Worry”. Boy does it ever. The last 12 months has witnessed one of the greatest explosions in wealth creation in absolute dollar terms the United States (or any other Nation for that matter) has ever seen. After suffering losses of just over $6 Trillion dollars in Q1 2020 (right when the pandemic hit), the Net Worth of Americans has rocketed upwards by $31 Trillion, with more than $4 Trillion occurring in real estate. The United States currently has a Net Worth of over $141.7 Trillion dollars, up a whopping 27% in 15 months.
The Shanghai Composite, by comparison, is still down 2,000 points from a peak of 5,600 in 2007 to under 3,600 today. In percentage terms, China is still down about 35% since it peaked. The value of US Stocks is over 6 TIMES China’s stocks; almost $50 Trillion vs China’s $7.6 Trillion.
When I hear that the United States is on the verge of collapse, I think about WHY the United States is worth 6 TIMES as much as China, even though China has over 4.5 times as many people. The answer is FREEDOM. This can be seen when one looks at Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan. These Asian economies have 5 to 7 times the per capita income of the people of China that are enslaved by the Corrupt Communist Party (CCP).
Inflation
Over the past 15 months, the United States has seen the gains in its balance sheet increase by almost 4 times the value of ALL Chinese companies traded on the Shanghai Composite. These tremendous wealth gains the United States has experienced have put tremendous price pressure on global commodity markets.
In particular, oil prices, which have more than doubled off of their lows, have caused tremendous pain on China’s economy as it is at least 30% less efficient than the US, even with the CCP fudging the numbers.
We are starting to see sizable cracks in the Chinese Economy as their real estate sector (which accounts for 25% of their economy) is starting to suffer substantially. China has a currency that is one grade above toilet paper. About 1 out of every 100 yuan it spends is in payment in global commodities markets. This is one of the reasons why the US Dollar’s incredible strength over the past year has absolutely hammered China. We the People of the United States are frankly crowding China out of the world global commodities markets as the US Dollar rules over the “little yuan”.
With inflation up over 5% in the past 12 months, this has led to the pain that US Consumers are suffering with higher prices; perhaps it is leading to “new manufacturing capacity” moving back into the United States. Price signals, when properly working, communicate information to market participants where additional capacity needs to be added. As we continue to decouple from China (trade deficit has collapsed by about $100 Billion since 2018), this puts China under continued pressure as the “negative leverage effect” collapses credit by a factor of 6-8 times. Given China’s smaller but fraudulently inflated size relative to that of the United States, this makes it that much harder for (Debt Binge) China to absorb such an enormous shock and might help explain the release of a virus on the globe.
How is PreActive Investments positioning?
Considering these generational changes that are occurring right before Humanity’s eyes, PreActive Investments is positioning its client assets in a defensive posture. The shock wave from China’s ultimate collapse will be a blessing to all of Humanity, but might initially ripple through global markets in a manner that causes price dislocations (i.e. lower prices). As valuations are at all ALL-TIME Highs, as new clients have come on board, I have been patiently assembling portfolios over 3-to-5-month time frames versus immediately putting the money to work. With over 100 Industry Groups to choose from, I am selectively purchasing securities that I do believe will benefit from the global reshuffling that is taking place.

1) Cut size of Federal Govt in half (it is 3x what it was in 2000 or is spending over $4,000 per month per full time American worker)
2) Audit National Debt (Debt held by public went from $24,000 per American worker in 2000 to $168,000 in 2021 or a $144,000 increase over past 20 years) Nonsense... A lot of it is ficticious. We deserve to see receipts for what we spent all of that money on and the tax returns that prove the money went to "real people" etc.
3) Sound Money (End the Federal Reserve. In 1971, Americans worked two hours at minimum wage in to buy a barrel of oil. Today over 6 hours. We lost over 2/3rds of our buying power (this doesn't include productivity gains)
4) Push for a Debt Jubilee (end debt of the the dead following the living)
5) Restore States Rights and end Federalism overreach.
These are just 5. More to follow.
