One fully funded PhD position is available in the fields of distributed machine learning, secure and sustainable edge computing, energy-efficient computing, and next-generation wireless networks. The successful candidate will be expected to join the PhD program in Computational Science at Middle Tennessee State University starting in Spring 2025.

Key Criteria for Selection:

1. A BS or MS degree in Computer Science (CS), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.

2. Preference will be given to candidates with an MS degree.

3. A strong foundation in mathematics and programming is essential.

4. Proficiency in key areas such as:
- Data Structures
- Algorithms
- Optimization Theory (Preferable)

5. Previous research experience and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch) are advantageous but not mandatory.

Hall School of Mechanical Engineering, Mississippi State University, on an interdisciplinary project at the intersection of robotics, AI, machine learning, and neurophysiological data analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing human-robot interaction in key sectors such as manufacturing and healthcare.
