I wonder if crying for something that never came to be as painful as crying over something that came to an end? Does a "what if" sound as lonely as "goodbye"? Does an "almost" hurt as much as "the end"? Do you think it would have been better if I had gotten rid of this feeling even before it began? Before the flame started burning and left us in ashes?
