How can you miss someone so much that your heart feels like it's about to crack?

This is what really happens when two humans hug.

Some days are good. You wake up feeling light and everything just falls in place; while some nights are just lonely. You're lying on your back, face on the ceiling, tears building up, eyelids getting heavier. Sometimes you think you're getting better then something minor happens and you're back to square one. For years, I've been dreaming of a life lived alone, somewhere far from anyone I know, but this stubborn heart still hopes for better days. I tell myself I don't need a quick fix so I stopped taking my medication and started healing on my own, but sometimes it gets a little heavier. I would wish for a perfect life but I know it's impossible so instead, I pray for wisdom, tenacity, and strength when nothing falls under my control.

I expected to much. I guess that's why it hurts so damn much.

You don’t have to be positive all the time. It’s perfectly okay to feel sad and annoyed. Having feelings does not make u a negative person. It makes u human.
