A Maine-based business is avoiding possible disruptions caused by President Donald Trumpβs tariffs and trade negotiations by doing business as usual.
Puritan Medical Products, a 500-employee business based in Piscataquis County, is expanding its workforce to meet the anticipated increase in demand for American-made medical supplies by making all their products in Maine
as they have done since 1919.
"There will be no tariff-related disruptions to the supply of Puritan swabs and other products,β said Bob Shultz, Puritanβs president and chief financial officer.
βPuritan remains bullish about the future and our ability to meet global demand for our many products,β said Shultz."
