Жан-Клод Мезьер (1938–2022) был легендарным французским художником комиксов и одним из самых влиятельных визионеров в иллюстрации научной фантастики. Вместе с писателем Пьером Кристиным он создал в 1967 году новаторскую серию комиксов «Валериан и Лорелин» — космическую оперу о двух агентах, путешествующих во времени и исследующих странные планеты, инопланетные цивилизации и политические интриги по всей галактике.
