This is one of the cheapest humanoid robots on the market. It's getting real, quick.

Elon Musk: With Optimus, we might be able to stop putting people in prison.
“If somebody's committed a crime, we might be able to provide a more humane form of containment of future crime. You now get a free Optimus, and it's just going to follow you around…

Having someone watch you code is about as useful and awkward is having someone watch you piss.
"what do you mean I'm *holding it wrong.* wtf does that even mean?"

Working with these bleeding edge Chinese robots feels like getting a graphics driver running on Linux circa mid 00's, if you know what I mean.
I've been building a python-based dashboard for @animusuno for the Unitree Robotics Go2 Air. It's definitely been a major challenge - and a silent update to the mobile app controller last night (I thought) bricked it.
Turns out it was actually exactly as it should be, but Cursor had recreated the venv during a troubleshooting session and blew out my pinned requirements (I had to use a years-old version of python and aioice, since there seems to be diverging WebRTC standards). The two failures just happened simultaneously so that it appeared to be an on-board server fault.
Troubleshooting this and finding all the culprits has been a science experiment.
Just like trying to play a game on a Linux box in teh aughts.

not sure how many people will find this useful, but I was a big rev.com user before AI transcription took over - and I have a huge archive. I built a CLI tool for exporting your old workspaces.

Anthropic’s Latest Report Should Terrify You (Not for the Reason You Think)
Anthropic released a report describing what they frame as the first AI-orchestrated cyber-espionage campaign. The headlines focus on the attacker’s capabilities: autonomous recon, exploit chains, credential harvesting, lateral movement.
