Tomorrow evening, the Icelandic Blockchain Foundation will be sponsoring an event for the Auroracoin community at IBF’s Offices (Engjateigur 3, Third Floor).

It is open to all!

We will be going over the history of Auroracoin and make some plans for the further development and expansion of the project.

Join us and help shape the future of Auroracoin.
Interested in learning about tokenizing and fractionalizing ownership of physical assets using the blockchain? Brandur Karlsson, along with the Icelandic Art Association, will be doing just that during an open exhibition Nov. 18-28.

The Icelandic Blockchain Foundation hosts the first cryptocurrency trading meetup.

As this will be the first meetup focused on trading, the aim will be to connect, network, and discuss trading - from markets to exchanges to arbitrage to technical analysis. It is an open format.
IBF Managing Director spoke today on blockchain and cryptocurrency at the University of Reykjavik.
Tomorrow is a big day. It will be the last bimonthly meetup of 2018.

What to expect?
- A discussion on price action and market trends.
- A talk on cryptotax regulations with BitTaxer.
- Presentation on the use of #blockchain for voting.
- How an entire nation’s technical infrastructure can be built around blockchain with Liberland.

Ethereum development studio ConsenSys has participated in a $2 million seed funding round for Iceland-based blockchain startup Monerium - the firm announced Friday.
Congrats to the team out of Iceland!

Monerium ultimately aims to issue “asset-backed, redeemable and regulated e-money” over blockchains once a licensed institution, saying its products would make blockchains “more relevant and useful” to financial institutions and enterprises.

This is a formal announcement that the Icelandic Blockchain Foundation is hosting the General Annual Meeting on the 2nd of May at 17:30 at the Moon hall at Hard Rock.

Register as a member
Only members of the Foundation that have been members for at least a year are eligible to vote during the meeting. To be a member you have to register at Only members that have been members for 12 months are eligible to cast a vote.
