Duty of the Board of Trustees
Defintion: Board of Trustee is a group of individuals either appointed or elected to manage and govern the assets of an endowment, charitable foundation, trust, or nonprofit organization.
The board's utmost duty is to protect the organization's
(a) Best interests through decisions made on its behalf.
(b) Defend the Organization's Constitution.
(c) Objectives

A board of trustees serves as a volunteer, whereas a board of directors may be paid if they serve on a corporate board. A board of trustees primarily operates in an advisory capacity leaving decision-making to the senior leadership, whereas a board of directors is responsible for decision-making. In the Board of Trustee, the structure is Oval or Sircle, in the Board of Directors the Structure is Piramit while in the Executive Council the structure is always Flat.
The Director is the Chairman and shall preside at all meetings of the Trustees, shall be responsible for the execution of policies established by the Trustees and the administration of the Fund, and may be (but is not required to be) the chief executive, financial and/or accounting officer of the Fund.
