Yesterday was a significant milestone for
BitSong
1. #Inflation decreased from 20% to 10%, meaning the new #staking APR is around 20% (as opposed to 40%). Reducing inflation is a significant first step, as cutting the emission by 50% and launching BitSong #Studio ushers us into a productive phase. Consequently, BitSong as a protocol should start generating earnings.
2. Proposal 31 was also passed, authorizing the BitSong team to upload new smart contracts. Specifically, the following will be uploaded:
- bs721-metadata, enabling the creation of NFTs and on-chain storage of metadata.
- bs721-curve, envision something akin to friend .tech on BitSong for NFTs.
- bs721-launchparty, the first fixed-price minter; decide the supply, type, and start selling.
