በባህር ዳር አጼቴዎድሮስ ክፍለ ከተማ አየር ጤና አደባባይ አካባቢ የሚገኘው አገልግል ኢኮ-ፓኬጂንግ የማምረቻ ተቋም በይፋ ተመርቆ ስራ ጀምሯል፡፡
በመክፈቻ ሥነ-ሥርዓቱ ላይ የBDU -IUC ፕሮጀክት ማናጀር ዶ/ር ተስፋዮ ሽፈራው፤ የባሕር ዳር ቴክኖሎጂ ኢንስቲትዩት የአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ምክትል ሳይንትፊክ ዳይሬክተር ዶ/ር አማረ ካሰው፤የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ምክትል ሳይንቲፊክ ዳይሬክተር ዶ/ር ሙሉቀን ዘገየ፤ የBiTec ዳይሬክተር ኃይለማሪያም ሙሉጌታ እንዲሁም የባህር ዳር ከተማ አስተዳደር የስራ ኃላፊዎች እና የህብረት ባንክ ባህር ዳር ቅርንጫፍ ኃላፊዎች እንዲሁም ሌሎች ተጋባዥ እንግዶች ተገኝተዋል።
በምረቃ መርሀግብሩም የሪባን ቆረጣ ሥነ-ሥርዓት በማካሄድ ድርጅቱ በይፋ ወደ ሥራ መግባቱ ተበስሯል።
አገልግል ኢኮ-ፓኬጅንግ የባህር ዳር ከተማ አስተዳደር በሰጠው የመስሪያ ቦታ ላይ ከግብርና ተረፈ ምርቶች ለአካባቢ ተስማሚ የሆኑና ብክለት የማያስከትሉ የማሸጊያ ምርቶችን በማምረት የፕላስቲክ ብክለትን ለመቀነስ፣ ለወጣቶች የሥራ ዕድል ለመፍጠር እና ዘላቂ አረንጓዴ ኢኮኖሚን ለማጠናከር የሚያበረክት ተቋም መሆኑን የድርጅቱ ስራአስኪያጅ አፎሚያ አንዱአለም ገልጻለች።
የድርጅቱ የስራ ባልደረባ የሆኑት አቶ ዮሐንስ አባቡ የማምረቻ ማሽኖችና እየተሰሩ የሚገኙ የምርት ውጤቶችን በተመለከተ ለተሳታፊዎች ገለጻ በማድረግ አስጎብኝቷል፡፡
ይህ ፕሮጀክት በባህር ዳር ከተማ እና በአካባቢው ያለውን የአካባቢ ጥበቃ፣ የፈጠራ እና ዘላቂ ልማት ለማጎልበት ጉልህ ሚና እንደሚኖረው ከባሕር ዳር ቴክኖሎጂ ኢንስቲትዩት የመጡ የስራ ኃላፊዎች እና ከባህር ዳር ከተማ አስተዳደር የመጡ የስራ ኃላፊዎች ገልጸዋል።
Agelgil Eco-Packaging Manufacturing Facility Officially Inaugurated in Bahir Dar

Agelgil Eco-Packaging Manufacturing Facility, located in the Ayer Tena Square area of Atse Tewodros Sub-City, Bahir Dar, has officially commenced operations following its inauguration ceremony.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Tesfaye Shiferaw, Project Manager of the BDU-IUC Project; Dr. Amare Kassaw, Deputy Scientific Director for Academic Affairs at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (BiT), Dr. Muluken Zegeye, Deputy Scientific Director for Research and Technology Transfer at BiT, Mr. Hilemariam Mulugeta, Director of BiTec; officials from the Bahir Dar City Administration; representatives of Bank of Hibret, Bahir Dar Branch; and other invited guests.
The official commencement of the facility was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, formally announcing the start of its manufacturing operations.
Agelgil Eco-Packaging operates on a workspace provided by the Bahir Dar City Administration and produces environmentally friendly and biodegradable packaging products using agricultural residues. According to Afomia Andualem, Manager of the facility, the initiative aims to contribute to reducing plastic pollution, creating employment opportunities for young people, and strengthening a sustainable green economy.
During the inauguration program, Mr. Yohannes Ababu, a staff member of the facility, provided participants with a tour of the production area and explained the manufacturing machinery, production processes, and packaging products currently being produced.
Officials from Bahir Dar Institute of Technology and the Bahir Dar City Administration highlighted the significant role the project is expected to play in advancing environmental protection, innovation, and sustainable development in Bahir Dar and its surrounding areas.
The establishment of Agelgil Eco-Packaging represents an important step toward promoting the use of locally available agricultural by-products for environmentally responsible manufacturing while creating economic opportunities and supporting the transition toward a greener and more sustainable economy.
