The Next Internet Will Need an Identity Layer

🌐 The internet became incredibly good at connecting information.
But proving who we are online is still surprisingly fragmented.
Every platform has its own account. Every service maintains its own profile. Identity, credentials, permissions, and reputation are often locked inside separate systems. As digital ecosystems become more connected, that model may need to evolve.

🔵 The next generation of the internet could move toward a more portable identity layer, where people have greater control over how they verify themselves and interact across different digital environments.

That could change how we think about:

- credentials and qualifications

But the goal shouldn't be putting everything about a person on-chain. The real challenge is creating systems that can confirm what needs to be verified while protecting what should remain private.
